In Pairdle every tile is two letters, and each box in the answer row takes one tile. After a guess, a blue tile is the right pair in the right box, a red tile is in the word but in a different box, and a grey tile is not in the word at all.

Pairdle Standard: TUXEDO
Twelve tiles, three boxes, solved in three guesses.

Monday's Pairdle board had twelve tiles and three boxes, so the answer had six letters. The board words were TUXEDO, MANTEL, MORGUE and PAIRED. The tiles could spell those four words and no others, so there were no traps.
The first guess was MORGUE, made of MO, RG and UE. All three pairs came back grey and left the board.

The second guess was PAIRED, made of PA, IR and ED. All three pairs came back grey too and left the board. That left MANTEL and TUXEDO.

The third guess was TUXEDO, made of TU, XE and DO. All three pairs turned blue. Three guesses.

Pairdle Pro: INTERNAL
Sixteen tiles, four boxes, solved in three guesses.

Monday's Pairdle Pro board had sixteen tiles and four boxes, so the answer had eight letters. The board words were INTERNAL, MANPOWER, WELLNESS and ADVISERS. The tiles could also spell MATERNAL, which was not on the board. That was the trap.
The first guess was WELLNESS, made of WE, LL, NE and SS. All four pairs came back grey and left the board.

The second guess was the trap MATERNAL, made of MA, TE, RN and AL. MA came back grey and left the board. Losing MA also ruled out MANPOWER.

The other three pairs, TE, RN and AL, turned blue in the last three boxes. So only the first box was wrong. ADVISERS does not fit that ending, and IN in front of TERNAL makes INTERNAL.

The third guess was INTERNAL, made of IN, TE, RN and AL. IN turned blue next to the three pairs already in place. Three guesses.

Every word the Pro tiles could spell
The board is built from four words. Any other word the same tiles can spell is a trap: it looks right, but it was never on the board.
- ADVISERS, on the board
- INTERNAL, the answer
- MANPOWER, on the board
- MATERNAL, trap word (not on the board)
- WELLNESS, on the board

Pairdle Expert: OBSERVANCE
Twenty tiles, five boxes, solved in two guesses.

Monday's Pairdle Expert board had twenty tiles and five boxes, so the answer had ten letters. The board words were OBSERVANCE, JOURNALIST, HEREDITARY and NEGLIGIBLE. The tiles could spell those four words and no others, so there were no traps.
The first guess was not a word. It was the pairs HE, SE, RV, TA and CE, in that order, taken from more than one board word. HE and TA came back grey and left the board. Losing HE also ruled out HEREDITARY.

SE turned blue in the second box, RV turned blue in the third box and CE turned blue in the last box. JOURNALIST and NEGLIGIBLE have none of those pairs, so the answer had to be OBSERVANCE.

The second guess was OBSERVANCE, made of OB, SE, RV, AN and CE. OB and AN turned blue next to the three pairs already in place. Two guesses.

Shout-outs to the one-guess winners are in the video.
