Meet the Team

Logic Loft Games is a small studio, and every game we ship — from Pairdle to Pairdle Slide to Epic Words — is a genuine team effort. Here are some of the people who make them, in their own words. You can read more about the studio itself on our story page.

Game Tester & Reviewer

I joined the Logic Loft family this year and was genuinely excited to be invited to become part of its journey at such an early stage. Working with such a great team has been a wonderful experience, and I'm learning a great deal about what happens on the other side of gameplay — from developing an initial idea, to testing, refining and eventually releasing a finished game.

Until now, I have always experienced games purely from the player's side. As a woman approaching 60 (!) I'm still not entirely comfortable describing myself as a “Gamer.” In my mind, that word conjures up an image of a teenage boy wearing a hoodie and sitting in a darkened basement surrounded by screens. Apparently, however, anyone who regularly plays, analyses and talks about games qualifies — so it seems that a Gamer I am!

Originally from the UK, I now live in rural France with my husband David and my cat Lily-Mai. I own and work at my dog boarding kennels and cattery, and I am also President of Association Violet, a small charity that raises money to support local children with disabilities and their families.

I've always enjoyed word, logic and visual puzzle games, particularly those that are easy to pick up but still give me something to think about. I enjoy trying other mobile games too, and will often download a new game — usually from an advert — and play a minimum of 10 levels before I decide if I like it or delete it. A lot get deleted for various reasons, and this additional experience helps when I am writing my honest reviews for the Logic Loft blog, looking at what keeps me playing as well as the areas I think could be improved.

Logic Loft's recently created games have been a true team effort, with each person bringing their own unique experience, knowledge and perspective to the mix. We recognise and respect one another's strengths, and it's the combination of those different skills that helps make each game the best it can be.

Pairdle

I enjoy playing Pairdle when I have some quiet time to myself — and I usually play with a pen and paper beside me. I like to approach it logically, looking at which pairs are likely to appear at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of a word. I make little lists on scraps of paper and then try to solve the word in just one or two guesses. It doesn't always work, of course, but that is how I enjoy playing.

Pairdle Slide

This is one of my favourite games at the moment. It has been going through plenty of development and changes as we work towards getting the experience right. I particularly enjoy the picture element of the daily puzzle; however, I also appreciate the original style of play, where completed words simply turn green, because not every player wants additional pictures or features. There is plenty of variety to keep me playing regularly and sharing the game with friends.

Epic Words

I'm also very excited about Epic Words, a new Logic Loft game that is currently in test mode, being played a lot by the team while we prepare for its release. The team have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get it ready for the public to enjoy.

Epic Words combines wordplay with a fantasy journey loosely inspired by games such as Dungeons & Dragons. As you solve words, your little avatar continues his epic adventure to recover all the letters that have been stolen. We have had great fun adding visual and sound effects connected to the words you discover; for example, a lion might appear when you find “lion,” while musical instruments produce their own sounds. (But I'm not going to give too much away!)

There is a great deal happening within the game, and I'm excited to watch it continue to develop. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished result and believe Epic Words has a very bright future ahead of it.
