All Pairdle recaps

Pairdle recap for Saturday, October 24, 2026

The answers were SHABBY (Standard), REVOLVER (Pro), INCOHERENT (Expert). Below is each board as it was dealt, every guess with its colours, and the words the tiles could spell that were not on the board.

In Pairdle every tile is two letters, and each box in the answer row takes one tile. After a guess, a blue tile is the right pair in the right box, a red tile is in the word but in a different box, and a grey tile is not in the word at all.

Pairdle Standard: SHABBY

Twelve tiles, three boxes, solved in three guesses.

The Pairdle Standard board for October 24, 2026 before any guess: three empty answer boxes above twelve letter tiles, BY, GA, BA, TT, ED, SH, ES, EC, HO, CY, AB, LE.

Saturday's Pairdle board had twelve tiles and three boxes, so the answer had six letters. The board words were SHABBY, LEGACY, ECHOES and BATTED. The tiles could also spell BATTLE and ECHOED, which were not on the board. Those were the traps.

The first guess was the trap BATTLE. BA, TT and LE all came back grey and left the board. That also ruled out BATTED and LEGACY, since each needs one of those tiles.

Guess 1, BATTLE: BA grey, TT grey, LE grey.

The second guess was ECHOES. EC, HO and ES all came back grey too.

Guess 2, ECHOES: EC grey, HO grey, ES grey.

That left one board word that could still be built from the tiles, and it was SHABBY.

Guess 3, SHABBY: every box blue, SH, AB, BY. That solved it.

The third guess was SHABBY, made of SH, AB and BY. All three pairs turned blue. Three guesses.

All three Pairdle Standard guesses for October 24, 2026 stacked in order, BATTLE, then ECHOES, then SHABBY, with the last row all blue.

Every word the Standard tiles could spell

The board is built from four words. Any other word the same tiles can spell is a trap: it looks right, but it was never on the board.

  • BATTED, on the board
  • BATTLE, trap word (not on the board)
  • ECHOED, trap word (not on the board)
  • ECHOES, on the board
  • LEGACY, on the board
  • SHABBY, the answer

Pairdle Pro: REVOLVER

Sixteen tiles, four boxes, solved in three guesses.

The Pairdle Pro board for October 24, 2026 before any guess: four empty answer boxes above sixteen letter tiles, NE, AR, NG, TI, ES, AN, RE, ER, NI, VO, BR, VE, AC, EM, LV, LE.

Saturday's Pairdle Pro board had sixteen tiles and four boxes, so the answer had eight letters. The board words were REVOLVER, LEARNING, EMBRACES and VENETIAN. The tiles could also spell NINETIES, REACTING, REACTIVE and REVOLVES, which were not on the board. Those were the traps.

The first guess was the trap REACTIVE. RE turned blue, so the answer starts with RE.

Guess 1, REACTIVE: RE blue, AC grey, TI grey, VE grey.

The other three pairs missed. AC, TI and VE came back grey and left the board.

Guess 2, REVOLVES: RE blue, VO blue, LV blue, ES grey.

The second guess was the trap REVOLVES. VO and LV turned blue next to RE, so only the last box was left.

Guess 3, REVOLVER: every box blue, RE, VO, LV, ER. That solved it.

The last pair missed. ES came back grey and left the board.

The third guess kept RE, VO and LV and put ER in the last box. All four pairs turned blue. The answer was REVOLVER, in three guesses.

All three Pairdle Pro guesses for October 24, 2026 stacked in order, REACTIVE, then REVOLVES, then REVOLVER, with the last row all blue.

Every word the Pro tiles could spell

The board is built from four words. Any other word the same tiles can spell is a trap: it looks right, but it was never on the board.

  • EMBRACES, on the board
  • LEARNING, on the board
  • NINETIES, trap word (not on the board)
  • REACTING, trap word (not on the board)
  • REACTIVE, trap word (not on the board)
  • REVOLVER, the answer
  • REVOLVES, trap word (not on the board)
  • VENETIAN, on the board

Pairdle Expert: INCOHERENT

Twenty tiles, five boxes, solved in two guesses.

The Pairdle Expert board for October 24, 2026 before any guess: five empty answer boxes above twenty letter tiles, IN, BI, PH, CU, NT, RA, CO, LT, LY, ON, RE, ER, SI, AL, PO, UR, TI, HE, OG, DE.

Saturday's Pairdle Expert board had twenty tiles and five boxes, so the answer had ten letters. The board words were INCOHERENT, BIOGRAPHER, DEPOSITION and CULTURALLY. The tiles could also spell DECORATION, INHERENTLY and RATIONALLY, which were not on the board. Those were the traps.

The first guess was the trap INHERENTLY, made of IN, HE, RE, NT and LY. IN turned blue, so the answer starts with IN.

Guess 1, INHERENTLY: IN blue, HE red, RE red, NT red, LY grey.

HE, RE and NT turned red. Each of them is in the answer, but in a different box.

Guess 2, INCOHERENT: every box blue, IN, CO, HE, RE, NT. That solved it.

The last pair missed. LY came back grey and left the board.

So the answer starts with IN and holds HE, RE and NT further along. Only one board word fits, and it is INCOHERENT, made of IN, CO, HE, RE and NT.

The second guess was INCOHERENT. All five pairs turned blue. Two guesses.

Both Pairdle Expert guesses for October 24, 2026 stacked in order, INHERENTLY, then INCOHERENT, with the last row all blue.

Every word the Expert tiles could spell

The board is built from four words. Any other word the same tiles can spell is a trap: it looks right, but it was never on the board.

  • BIOGRAPHER, on the board
  • CULTURALLY, on the board
  • DECORATION, trap word (not on the board)
  • DEPOSITION, on the board
  • INCOHERENT, the answer
  • INHERENTLY, trap word (not on the board)
  • RATIONALLY, trap word (not on the board)

Shout-outs to the one-guess winners are in the video.
