In Pairdle every tile is two letters, and each box in the answer row takes one tile. After a guess, a blue tile is the right pair in the right box, a red tile is in the word but in a different box, and a grey tile is not in the word at all.

Pairdle Standard: NOTING
Twelve tiles, three boxes, solved in two guesses.

Monday's Pairdle board had twelve tiles and three boxes, so the answer had six letters. The tiles could spell five words: ADJUST, ARTIST, DOLLAR, NOTING and SMELLY. Four of them are on the board. ARTIST is the extra one. It takes AR from DOLLAR, TI from NOTING and ST from ADJUST.
The first guess was ARTIST, the trap. AR and ST came back grey, but TI turned blue, so the answer has TI in the middle box. Grey tiles leave the board, so DOLLAR lost its AR and ADJUST lost its ST.

SMELLY has no TI, which left one word. NOTING went in: NO in the first box, TI already in place, NG in the last. All three blue. Two guesses.

Every word the Standard tiles could spell
The board is built from four words. Any other word the same tiles can spell is a trap: it looks right, but it was never on the board.
- ADJUST, on the board
- ARTIST, trap word (not on the board)
- DOLLAR, on the board
- NOTING, the answer
- SMELLY, on the board

Pairdle Pro: SECTIONS
Sixteen tiles, four boxes, solved in three guesses.

Monday's Pro board had sixteen tiles and four boxes, so the answer had eight letters. The tiles could spell four words: COUNCILS, PYRAMIDS, SCULPTED and SECTIONS. All four are on the board, and no two share a tile, so there were no traps.
The first guess was SCULPTED. SC, UL, PT and ED all came back grey, and SCULPTED was out.

The second guess was not a word. It was four pairs picked to test the other three words: CO, SE, NS and IO. CO went grey, so COUNCILS was out. SE, NS and IO all turned red, which means they are in the answer but sat in the wrong boxes. PYRAMIDS has none of them. SECTIONS has all three.

The third guess was SECTIONS: SE, CT, IO and NS. All four blue. Three guesses.

Pairdle Expert: EVERYTHING
Twenty tiles, five boxes, solved in two guesses.

Monday's Expert board had twenty tiles and five boxes, so the answer had ten letters. The tiles spelled four words: ACCUMULATE, EVERYTHING, INSTRUCTED and OUTPATIENT. There were no traps. Every tile belongs to one of those four.
The first guess was not a word. It mixed pairs from all four: IN from INSTRUCTED, ER and HI from EVERYTHING, AC from ACCUMULATE and NT from OUTPATIENT. IN, AC and NT came back grey, which knocked out three words at once. ER and HI turned blue in the second and fourth boxes.

Only EVERYTHING was left. EV went in the first box, YT in the third and NG in the last, with ER and HI already in place. All five blue. Two guesses.
